A float-equipped Cessna U206G airplane was conducting a flight from the Sandy Lake Water Aerodrome, Ontario, to a nearby lake and back. On the return flight, while on the final approach to land, the aircraft collided with a communication tower in the Sandy Lake First Nation community. The aircraft subsequently collided with terrain, caught fire, and was destroyed. The pilot, who was the sole occupant, was fatally injured. The Nishnawbe Aski Police Service and the Sandy Lake First Nation Fire Department responded.
On 17 July 2022, a privately-registered Bellanca Citabria floatplane was on a visual flight rules flight from Trois-Rivières Airport (CYRQ), Quebec, to a dock on the Saint-Maurice River, in Shawinigan. While flying over the landing site, the aircraft struck the wire of a power line crossing the river. Following the initial impact, the aircraft struck the river in an inverted position. The pilot was fatally injured, and the aircraft was destroyed.
On 13 July 2022 in the morning, a Zlin Aviation Savage advanced ultralight took off from approximately 7 NM SE of the Olds-Didsbury, AB airport (CEA3) to conduct a local sightseeing flight. There was one pilot and one passenger on board. At approximately 1015 MDT, 45 minutes after take-off, the aircraft collided with terrain 0.7 NM south of where it took off.
On 23 August 2022, a privately-registered Grumman G44 aircraft was on route from the Sarnia Airport, ON to the Stratford Municipal Airport, ON with the pilot being the sole occupant on board. Witnesses in a farm near the Stratford Municipal Airport observed the aircraft disappear into the clouds, and a few seconds later the plane collided with terrain. The pilot was fatally injured and the aircraft was consumed by fire after the impact.
On 1 September 2022, a Bell 429 helicopter operated by the Canadian Coast Guard was on a local visual flight rules flight from Puvirnituq Airport, Quebec, with the pilot being the sole occupant on board. The aircraft was equipped with a longline and was making an approach to hook a load. While almost stationary over the load, the aircraft began to turn on itself. The controls became unresponsive and the pilot made an emergency landing. The aircraft rolled over on the ground and came to rest on its side.
On , an Ayres S-2R (C-GOKD) operated by Pembina Air 1999 Ltd. was conducting spray operations near Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. The pilot, who was the sole occupant on board, was conducting a racetrack spray pattern on the field. As the aircraft was turned to conduct another pass, control was lost and the aircraft collided with the ground. The pilot was fatally injured.
An Air Tractor AT-502B aircraft operated by Arty's Air Service Ltd., was conducting agricultural application operations 29 NM SSE of Camrose, AB with only the pilot on board. During an application pass, the aircraft collided with terrain; the pilot was fatally injured. There was no post-impact fire and the ELT did transmit.
