Investigation report: Railway employee injury at Ojibway Yard in Windsor, Ontario

Today, the Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) released its investigation report (R25T0038) into a rail yard accident that occurred on February 16, 2025 in Windsor, Ontario. During switching operations at the Essex Terminal Railway Company’s Ojibway Yard, an employee was injured by a rolling tank car.

The TSB conducted a limited-scope, class 4 investigation into this occurrence to advance transportation safety through greater awareness of potential safety issues. See the Policy on Occurrence Classification for more information.
