Investigation report: Fatal aircraft accident at Chilliwack Airport, British Columbia
Today, the Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) released its investigation report (A23P0130) into the 2023 fatal loss of control and collision with terrain involving a Piper PA-34-200 Seneca aircraft at the Chilliwack Airport, British Columbia.
The TSB conducted a limited-scope, class 4 investigation into this occurrence to advance transportation safety through greater awareness of potential safety issues. See the Policy on Occurrence Classification for more information.
The TSB is an independent agency that investigates air, marine, pipeline, and rail transportation occurrences. Its sole aim is the advancement of transportation safety. It is not the function of the Board to assign fault or determine civil or criminal liability.
